Students may choose to create a science fair project in one of two categories:
INFORMATIONAL PROJECTS
An informational project is a student-created display that explains natural or scientific phenomena, such as a display describing how electricity works. Informational Projects are NOT art projects - these projects require written student research to accompany visual displays.
SCIENTIFIC PROJECTS
Scientific Projects demonstrate a student's understanding of the Scientific Method. These projects document students' work forming hypotheses and experimenting to prove or disprove their hypotheses. For more information about the Scientific Method, click here. Student projects which successfully demonstrate the Scientific Method will receive additional points if eligible for student awards.
